Sherrille Riley - Beauty Industry Pioneer - Celebrates Black History Month

With a career that spans over two decades, Sherrille Riley has established herself as a leading force in the beauty industry. Known for her commitment to excellence and passion for empowering others, Sherrille has become a renowned expert in her field, with an impressive journey that reflects her resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.

Sherrille’s story began when she emigrated from Jamaica to the UK with her family as a child. Settling in the north of England, she was inspired by her family of female entrepreneurs—her mother, grandmother, and great aunt—who all ran successful businesses. At the age of 19, she made the bold decision to move to London to pursue her dream of becoming a beautician, leaving Yorkshire behind for the big city.

In 2014, Sherrille founded Nails & Brows Mayfair, a luxury beauty destination that combines expert eyebrow and nail treatments. Her keen observation of client needs led her to create this unique space, which has since become a celebrated success. Her influence has only grown, as she now hosts exclusive monthly VIP events that bring together trailblazers in beauty and business for inspiring conversations, networking, champagne, and canapés.

Following this, in 2017 Sherrille launched a product line based on the essential tools she uses within her salon  - Beauty Edit in Mayfair – a collection that launched to rave reviews among salon clients and new customers alike. Following this, in 2023 she launched the ultimate shopping destination for clean beauty enthusiasts in the heart of London – The Beauty Edit Mayfair Boutique.

This month, as part of Black History Month, Sherrille is hosting her third Black Female Founders Event. The evening will feature Ade Hassan MBE, founder of Nubian Skin, a brand revolutionising nude lingerie for women of colour. Together, they will celebrate and spotlight the achievements of Black female entrepreneurs, offering guests the chance to connect, collaborate, and receive a curated beauty gift bag.
